A few days ago I read that Oklahoma State Representative John Bennett was quoted as being decidedly against allowing any Syrian refugees into his state claiming that if they were allowed to come here it would result in terrorists attacks here without any doubt.
The following is an email I sent to his official email address after I learned of his opinion.
I do realize that my words were quite harsh and could have been more eloquently written but in my defense I am fed up with people of this ilk. They are cruel and heartless cowards in my honest opinion.
You sir are ridiculous. Not only do you stand on the absolute wrong side of the
Ten Commandments monument issue, but now you loudly oppose welcoming those who desperately need a safe place from being invited to our state? You are not only a disgrace of a human being, but a complete embarrassment to myself and the place I live and love.If you truly held Christian principals then you would do all possible to help refugees instead of buying in to the fear that ISIS is selling at the cost of more innocent lives.
You sicken this military veteran almost as much as the terrorists that created the knee-jerk reaction you have succumbed to.

I suggest you move if you don't like it. Might I suggest Iraq, Iran, or maybe Afghanistan. They have nice beaches (minus the water), and the Mountains in Afghanistan are nice this time of year. Maybe you can ask your new neighbors for a job? I hear they are getting low on volunteers to strap on suicide vests.
